GRACE WORSHIP
Grace Worship is the creative musical expression of our church. Everything we do revolves around and has its being in the person of Jesus, follows the leading of the Holy Spirit, and exists for the glory of the Father.
“Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts.” Isaiah 26:8
This should be the aim of our lives, and is the focus of our worship.
GRACE WORSHIP VALUES
PRESENCE - The point of our worship—the role of a “kingdom of priests”—is to host His presence in the earth and minister to the heart of God. We don’t gather around a sermon, or a service, or a program, but we gather around His very presence.
IDENTITY - We don’t exist to be used by God, we exist to be loved by God and worship Him in response. Our identity is rooted in His pursuing and never-ending love for us. Everything we do, including our worship, flows out of our identity as justified and accepted sons and daughters of God.
HUMILITY - Worship is about lifting Him up and lowering ourselves. It’s about giving Him honor and glory. We forsake platform for servanthood. We are entitled to nothing and He is worthy of everything.
LOVE - we must do everything in love or it becomes meaningless to God (1 Corinthians 13). Above all else, we love first. This plays out in relationships and attitudes - we will always put relationships over performance.
REPENTANCE - Turning our hearts towards God in love. Reorienting our focus. Confessing sin but not just for the sake of acknowledging it, but also to clearly state our ever present need to turn back towards God.
