FIRST TO FIFTH GRADE
Grace Elementary is for students in grades 1 through 5
FOUNDATIONS
FOR FAITH
For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 3:11
A SUNDAY MORNING IN GRACE ELEMENTARY LOOKS LIKE:
COMMUNITY & FUN
Our Sundays start with community! We believe that discipleship to Jesus is best done in a community of believers, and that goes for children, too! Each week we encourage the students to build friendships through games, crafts and fun activities.
WORSHIP
Live worship by members of the Grace Athens band ushers the students into a posture of praise and prepares their hearts for a morning of engaging with Jesus.
SCRIPTURE MEMORY
Each month our students commit to memory verses and catechisms that help build familiarity with Scripture and ensure that God’s word is treasured in their hearts for years to come.
BIBLICAL TEACHING
Talented teachers guide the students through Gospel-centered stories from both the Old and New Testaments, tying all Scripture back to the redemption of Jesus.
SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION
We always end with small group discussion and prayer led by volunteers from the congregation.
You believers, like living stones, are being built up into a spiritual housefor a holy and dedicated priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable and pleasing to God through Jesus Christ. For this is contained in Scripture:
1 Peter 2:5-6
